Oldspeak Bookshop closes physical location in Suffolk
Oldspeak Bookshop, a right-wing outlet located in the village of Long Melford, Suffolk, has announced the closure of its physical premises. The founder, Joanne May, cited “constant hostility” as the primary reason for the decision, stating that the environment made it difficult to maintain a welcoming atmosphere and impacted customer service.
Branded as “Britain’s only dissident bookshop,” the business focused on conservative ideals and Western heritage. It stocked works by authors such as Sir Roger Scruton and Dr. David Starkey. Despite the physical closure, May intends to continue operations online, offering a wider range of imports and hard-to-find books, and will remain available for events.
