Ole Miss football begins fall camp with Heisman favorite Chambliss

Ole Miss has commenced fall camp, centered on quarterback Trinidad Chambliss, who enters the season as a consensus top-five Heisman Trophy favorite. Chambliss, a former transfer from Ferris State, expressed readiness for the increased national attention, stating, “Pressure is a privilege.” He noted his primary objective is to establish a lasting legacy at the university and views individual accolades as a byproduct of team success.

While the backfield and tight end positions appear settled, the offensive line remains a primary focus for the coaching staff. Specifically, the right tackle position is unsettled between two new players: Tommy Kinsler IV and Carius Curne. Head coach Pete Golding noted that Kinsler has shown SEC-level potential but needs more consistency. Curne, while possessing physical talent, is currently working to regain full speed following spring surgery and must also address concerns regarding consistency and maturity.
