Ole Miss hosts Ohio State and UT Martin to open rifle season

The 2026-27 collegiate rifle season begins this Saturday in Oxford, Mississippi, as the Ole Miss rifle program hosts No. 14 Ohio State and No. 18 UT Martin.

Ole Miss enters the season ranked No. 5 nationally by the Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association. The Rebels return key athletes, including back-to-back NCAA air rifle champion Audrey Gogniat and All-American Gracie Dinh, while also welcoming freshmen Avana Harford and Kamdyn McFarland. The program also recently hired Sara Karasova as an assistant coach.

UT Martin, led by head coach Alayna Walther, will travel to Oxford for the season opener. The Skyhawks roster features a mix of three returning athletes, including All-OVC performer Sophia Ashford, and three newcomers. Following the match at Ole Miss, UT Martin will continue its schedule with conference matchups against Morehead State and Murray State.
