Ole Miss Rebels gear up for 2026 season with revamped offense

Ole Miss football is entering the 2026 season after a College Football Playoff appearance, with first‑year head coach Pete Golding leading the program. At SEC Media Days, the Rebels highlighted improvements on both sides of the ball.

Oklahoma coach Brent Venables noted that his team will return several offensive linemen, saying, “We returned four guys up front. Last year we started three freshmen,” and emphasized a stronger, more experienced offensive line for the upcoming season.

Ole Miss running back Kewan Lacy expressed confidence in the rebuilt wide‑receiver unit, stating, “Deuce Alexander… the best is still ahead for him. Johntay Cook is an explosive player. Horatio is a big target.” The group includes returning junior Deuce Alexander and transfer Johntay Cook, among others, signaling an aggressive passing attack for the Rebels.
