Ole Miss Rebels launch fall football camp on Aug. 6 under coach Pete Golding
The Ole Miss Rebels football team opened its first Pete Golding‑led fall camp on August 6, beginning a month‑long preparation for the 2026 season. The preseason focus highlighted depth on the defensive side, especially the linebacker group, with senior Suntarine Perkins returning as the tackles leader and transfer Keaton Thomas adding experience.
On offense, the Rebels entered camp with returning starters at center and guard and a standout left tackle, Terez Davis, praised by Golding as one of the nation’s best at the position. The right tackle spot remained contested between first‑year transfers Carius Curne and Tommy Kinsler IV. Offensive coordinator John David Baker intends to keep the hurry‑up style, making conditioning and line cohesion key. Quarterback Trinidad Chambliss will rely on the line to protect his blind side throughout the upcoming season.
