Ole Miss Rebels gear up for SEC season with top transfers and star trio

Head coach Pete Golding attended the SEC Media Days representing the Ole Miss Rebels. He highlighted the team’s three preseason All‑SEC selections – senior quarterback Trinidad Chambliss, junior running back Kewan Lacy and junior defensive tackle Will Echoles – who helped the Rebels finish 13‑2 and reach a 2‑1 record in their first College Football Playoff appearance.

The program also added several high‑profile transfers to replace departed talent. Four‑star defensive end Blake Purchase transferred from Oregon, while former LSU four‑star offensive lineman Carius Curne joined the squad on the offensive line. Both are expected to make an immediate impact on defense and protecting Chambliss’s blind side as the Rebels aim to improve on last season’s playoff run and contend for the SEC championship.
