Ole Miss running back Kewan Lacy aims for national title at SEC Media Days

Ole Miss star running back Kewan Lacy announced his return for the 2026 season during SEC Media Days in Tampa, saying his "unfinished business" is a national championship. Lacy, a Missouri transfer, posted 1,567 rushing yards (third in the nation) and 24 touchdowns (second) in 2025, highlighted by 98‑yard, two‑TD effort against Georgia and 103 yards with a score versus Miami in the College Football Playoff.

He will line up with returning quarterback Trinidad Chambliss under new head coach Pete Golding, while also serving as a cover athlete for EA Sports College Football 27. The Rebels enter 2026 with high expectations after their best campaign in program history, beginning with a home game against Louisville on Sept. 6.
