Ole Miss running back Kewan Lacy ruled out due to shoulder injury

Ole Miss running back Kewan Lacy will miss the upcoming game against Auburn following a shoulder injury sustained during the Rebels' loss to Texas. Head coach Pete Golding confirmed on Monday that Lacy dislocated his shoulder during the third quarter of the Texas game.

This marks a recurring issue for the preseason All-America selection, who has dealt with previous injuries to his left shoulder. Lacy had previously missed time against Florida due to shoulder concerns before returning for limited action against Vanderbilt and a strong performance against Missouri.

Golding noted that the injury felt different than previous ones and stated, “Obviously, he’s not going to play this week.” The coaching staff is currently evaluating the injury to determine his long-term availability.
