Tech manufacturers unveil high-refresh OLED display innovations
Major technology manufacturers are unveiling next-generation display technologies focused on high refresh rates and advanced OLED panels.
Samsung Display showcased several innovations at IMID 2026, including a 16-inch 2.5K OLED laptop panel capable of a 300Hz refresh rate, designed to enhance competitive gaming performance. They also demonstrated a 7.6-inch foldable OLED with improved brightness consistency and a 20-inch stretchable display.
In the gaming monitor market, ASUS ROG announced a new lineup of OLED monitors, including the ROG Swift OLED PG259QWS Ace, which features a Tandem WOLED panel with a refresh rate of up to 720Hz and a 0.02ms response time. ASUS also introduced 'Triple Mode' technology, allowing users to switch between different resolution and frequency configurations.
GIGABYTE previewed its AORUS ELITE FO32U24G, a 32-inch monitor utilizing Tandem WOLED technology with dual modes supporting 4K at 240Hz or Full HD at 480Hz.
In Brazil, Samsung launched the Odyssey G8 6K and Odyssey OLED G8. The 6K model offers dual-mode functionality, switching between 6K at 165Hz and 3K at 330Hz, while the OLED G8 utilizes a Penta Tandem QD-OLED panel with 4K resolution at 240Hz.
