Oleksandr Usyk and Deontay Wilder in Advanced Talks for Usyk’s Final Fight

Ukrainian heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk is in direct negotiations with promoter Zuffa Boxing to arrange a bout with former WBC champion Deontay Wilder as his career‑ending fight. Usyk, who vacated the WBC, WBA and WBO titles to free himself from mandatory defenses, has a 25‑0 record and has expressed that Wilder is his preferred opponent for a final showdown.

Wilder’s camp welcomed the prospect, with co‑manager Shelly Finkel stating that Deontay would fight Usyk if the terms are right. Both sides indicated the United States is the most likely venue, though Saudi Arabia was also mentioned as a possible location. No contract has been signed yet, but the discussions remain active.
