Oleksii Sinitsyn named Norway’s Nicest Craftsman 2026

The 2026 Norges Hyggeligste Håndverker awards ceremony was held at Gamle Logen in Oslo, celebrating excellence and personality within the Norwegian trades sector. Oleksii Sinitsyn from Oslo was awarded the main title of ‘Norges Hyggeligste Håndverker’ (Norway’s Nicest Craftsman) by Minister of Labour and Inclusion Kjersti Stenseng.

Other category winners included Lasse André Bjørn, the manager of 69 grader Rør AS, who was named Norway’s Nicest Plumber, and Christina Lie from B & O Forberg AS, who received the title of Norway’s Nicest Apprentice. The awards aim to promote the reputation of vocational trades in response to projections that Norway may face a shortage of 100,000 skilled workers by 2030.
