Olga Alicia Vázquez Martínez, subdirector of Comfamiliar Nariño, arrested in corruption probe
Olga Alicia Vázquez Martínez, the subdirector of the regional family compensation fund Comfamiliar Nariño, was taken into custody by the Cuerpo Técnico de Investigación (CTI) of the Fiscalía General de la Nación while in her office in Pasto. The arrest was accompanied by the detention of a female accountant and a contractor, whose identities were initially withheld to protect the investigation.
Authorities allege the group participated in a multi‑year corruption scheme that misappropriated roughly 8 billion Colombian pesos. The suspects are being investigated for aggravated criminal conspiracy and offenses against public administration. Prosecutors have not ruled out the possible involvement of former Comfamiliar executives and prominent local political figures, and the case remains under active judicial scrutiny.
