Olga announces Cuarteto Day event in Córdoba for October

The media channel Olga has announced the Cuarteto Day, a special event dedicated to the cuarteto music genre, scheduled to take place in Córdoba during October. The initiative was driven by producer Martina Cherkaski, known as ‘la Titi’, who had advocated for a dedicated celebration in her home province for two years.

Martina Cherkaski will serve as the host for the event. The program aims to feature a ‘collection’ style repertoire, focusing on classic cuarteto songs that represent the musical memory of Cordobese dances and different eras of the province's popular music. While a final lineup has not been officially confirmed, Cherkaski has proposed several artists, including La Mona Jiménez, Ulises Bueno, Dani Guardia, La Pepa Brizuela, Q’ Lokura, Loco Amato, La Konga, Damián Córdoba, and Desakat2.

The event will be broadcast live via YouTube. Although the specific date and venue in Córdoba have yet to be announced, Cherkaski indicated that the chosen space will have a capacity for approximately 6,100 people.
