Olgiate launches Aliseo Project to support disability autonomy

The Aliseo Project has launched a pilot program in Olgiate at the Casa dei Ragazzi, designed to promote autonomy for adults with disabilities. Starting in October, the initiative aims to provide a path toward independence by allowing individuals to live in familiar or community environments with support tailored to their specific needs.

The project is built on three main pillars: developing autonomy, fostering socialization, and providing relief for caregivers. It offers flexible attendance models, such as autonomy weeks or weekend stays, to accommodate different lifestyles. Activities are conducted in small groups of five users to ensure high-quality educational support. Additionally, the project includes counseling and support groups for families to assist with the transition toward independence.
