OliMoto partners with Honda UK for world motorcycle record attempt

Father and son duo Joe and Oli Purkis, operating as OliMoto, have partnered with Honda UK for a planned 19,000-mile motorcycle journey around the world in 2027. The expedition aims to establish a new Guinness World Record for the youngest male to circumnavigate the globe by motorcycle.

Oli Purkis, who will be 17 at the start of the journey, intends to break the current record held by Kane Avellano. The pair plans to depart from the Shirlaws Motorcycles dealership in Aberdeen, Scotland, on July 18, 2027, before beginning the official attempt in London on July 21. The route is expected to span four continents and 20 countries.

Honda UK will provide a CB125R for Oli and an NX500 E-Clutch for Joe. Beyond the record attempt, the mission includes raising funds for Save the Children and connecting with Scout groups globally. Joe Purkis is taking a sabbatical to support his son and document the adventure.
