Olimpia Milano celebrated for winning triple crown

Pallacanestro Olimpia Milano was honored at Palazzo Pirelli during a ceremony celebrating a historic season in which the team secured a triple crown: their 32nd Scudetto, 9th Coppa Italia, and 6th Supercoppa.

Lombardy Region President Attilio Fontana and Regional Council President Federico Romani attended the event to recognize the achievements of General Manager Christos Stavropoulos, coach Giuseppe Poeta, and captain Giampaolo ‘Pippo’ Ricci. Fontana praised the team for their character and ability to overcome difficulties, while Romani noted that winning all three major trophies is a result of sacrifice and teamwork.

The ceremony also included a tribute to the late Gianfranco Pieri, described as a major figure in the history of Olimpia and Italian basketball.
