Olimpia Milano signs former NBA guard Garrison Mathews

Olimpia Milano has officially announced the signing of Garrison Mathews, a 29-year-old guard joining from the NBA. The American player arrives to bolster the team's perimeter shooting as they prepare for the Italian Supercup, Serie A, and the EuroLeague.

Mathews brings significant experience from seven seasons in the NBA, having played 329 games for the Washington Wizards, Houston Rockets, Atlanta Hawks, and Indiana Pacers. He is noted for his elite three-point shooting, having recorded a 44% success rate from beyond the arc during the 2023-24 season.

Mathews, a former standout at Lipscomb University, expressed enthusiasm for this new chapter of his career and his desire to contribute to the squad under the guidance of coach Peppe Poeta. The specific duration of his contract has not been disclosed.
