Olimpia Milano suffers heavy EuroLeague defeat against Maccabi Tel Aviv

Olimpia Milano suffered a significant 97-79 defeat against Maccabi Tel Aviv in an EuroLeague matchup held at a neutral venue in Belgrade. The loss marks Milano’s third consecutive European defeat, following previous losses to Baskonia and Verona.

Maccabi Tel Aviv dominated the game from the start, establishing an early 12-0 run. Moses Wright led the Israeli side with 23 points, supported by Yam Madar and Bonzie Colson. Olimpia Milano struggled defensively, failing to contain Maccabi’s offensive flow and suffering from positioning errors.

The defeat intensifies internal pressure on Milano’s management and coaching staff, led by Peppe Poeta. The team faces a challenging schedule ahead, with upcoming matches against Real Madrid, Dubai, and Barcelona, making immediate improvements critical for their Play-In qualification goals.
