Oliva to renovate Almirall Carròs Promenade with €435,000 investment

The Oliva City Council has announced that renovation works on the Almirall Carròs Promenade (Sector 5) will officially begin on September 21. The project aims to deeply renew the urban space, which was originally constructed in the early 1990s and has suffered significant wear and tear over time.

The total investment for the project is €435,594.66, funded entirely by municipal resources. The works involve replacing the old concrete surface with a draining pavement in sand yellow and grey tones. To ensure accessibility for people with reduced mobility or sensory limitations, the new design will feature a continuous, non-slip surface.

Although the works could have started in late June, the local government postponed the start until after the summer season to avoid inconveniencing residents and to maintain beach accessibility during the peak tourist period. Existing urban furniture, previously acquired through €23,158.36 in European Next Generation funds, will be temporarily removed and reinstalled once the renovation is complete.
