Olive Inc. listed as domestic foundation model developer for GENIAC-PRIZE 2026

Olive Inc. has announced that its Human State Platform, ‘LaCause’, has been included in the list of domestic foundation model developers for the ‘GENIAC-PRIZE 2026’. This initiative is promoted by Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO).

LaCause is a proprietary model developed in Japan that uses non-contact technology to visualize human states by analyzing biological responses. Under the ‘GENIAC-PRIZE 2026’ theme focused on reforming business processes to address labor shortages for essential workers, companies applying for the program can now select LaCause as a domestic foundation model for their development and demonstration projects.

The platform is designed to function as social infrastructure by converting real-time biological data into structured information. Current implementations span several sectors, including retail for analyzing customer engagement, tourism and entertainment for measuring emotional changes, office environments for monitoring concentration and fatigue, education for estimating student understanding, and healthcare for tracking stress and recovery.
