Oliveanotherday to begin campaign with Casterton jump-out

Trainer Tom Dabernig is preparing the sprinter Oliveanotherday for a 2026 campaign, starting with a jump-out at Casterton this Monday. This marks the gelding's first public appearance since winning the Listed Wangoom Handicap in May.

Oliveanotherday has a record of five wins from seven starts and has attracted interest from The Everest slot holders. However, Dabernig stated he is focusing on the horse's immediate form and fitness rather than confirming an Everest start. Due to wet winter weather, Dabernig noted that training has been limited to about 80 percent capacity to avoid overworking the horse on testing ground.

The training schedule includes a potential second jump-out at Caulfield Heath on the 19th, with a target race date of the 29th at Caulfield.
