Oliveira do Bairro launches senior community campus

The municipality of Oliveira do Bairro has launched the Campus da Idade Maior (CIM), a project designed for residents aged 60 and older. The initiative aims to promote social interaction, learning, and well-being through a decentralized approach that utilizes community facilities across the four parishes of the municipality: Oiã, Palhaça, Oliveira do Bairro, and the Union of Freguesias of Bustos, Troviscal, and Mamarrosa.

During its initial phase in September, the project focuses on presenting the program and gathering feedback from participants regarding their interests and needs. Planned activities include digital literacy sessions, cognitive stimulation, health promotion, physical exercise, dance, and various creative workshops such as music, painting, and manual crafts.
