Oliveirense undergoes major squad and staff overhaul

Oliveirense is undergoing a massive squad and technical staff overhaul for the upcoming season. The club has announced the departure of numerous players and staff members, totaling 22 departures from a previous squad of 32.

In the basketball department, the club confirmed the exit of 11 players and key technical staff. This includes head coach João Figueiredo, who is moving to SC Braga, assistant coach Carlos Pinto, and physiotherapist Tomás Moreira. Notable player departures include André Bessa, who returned to FC Porto, Earl Timberlake, who joined the Milwaukee Bucks in the United States, and João Embaló, who moved to Sporting.

In the football department, the club has seen a continuous exodus of players throughout August. Recent departures include Armando Lopes, who joined FC Felgueiras; Israeli goalkeeper Nitai Greis; Brazilian forward Lucas Henrique, who moved to AD Marco 09; and midfielder Sabino. These recent moves follow an initial announcement in late June where 14 players left the club simultaneously.
