Oliver Bearman says Haas has fallen to 10th in F1 pecking order

Formula 1 driver Oliver Bearman has expressed frustration regarding the Haas F1 Team's decline in performance during the 2026 season. Despite a competitive start to the year, Bearman stated that the team has fallen to the 10th position in the grid's pecking order.

Bearman attributed this regression to a lack of resources necessary to match the rapid development pace of competitors like Red Bull and Ferrari. He noted that while Haas can build a fast base car, they struggle to implement frequent upgrades. He highlighted the disparity in development cycles, noting that while rivals may introduce updates every few races, Haas often requires approximately nine races to implement changes.

Reflecting on the season's shift, Bearman recalled being able to outpace teams like RB during the Australian Grand Prix, a feat he says is no longer feasible. While acknowledging the difficulty of the situation, he expressed confidence in the team's passion and the efforts of Ayao Komatsu to return the team to the midfield.
