Oliver Bearman says rivals' F1 rise fuels his confidence

Haas driver Oliver Bearman, the 21‑year‑old Briton, said that the strong start to the season of his former Formula 2 rivals Kimi Antonelli and Isack Hadjar gives him “enormous confidence” and helps him sleep well at night. Antonelli currently leads the drivers’ championship with 219 points and Hadjar sits eighth with 68, while Bearman is 13th with 18 points and teammate Esteban Ocon is 17th with three. Haas sits seventh in the constructors’ standings with 21 points.

Bearman added that seeing his former junior‑category competitors excel in fast cars proves he has the talent needed and that, with the right machinery, he can win races. He stressed his focus remains on personal performance, acknowledging that the team’s current car limits his results.
