Nottingham Forest bids £22 million for Crystal Palace defender Daniel Muñoz

Nottingham Forest has submitted a formal offer to Crystal Palace for Colombian defender Daniel Muñoz as the Premier League transfer window approaches its close. The proposal is reportedly worth £22 million, consisting of a £20 million initial payment and £2 million in performance-related variables.

Forest manager Oliver Glasner, who previously coached Muñoz at Eintracht Frankfurt, has indicated that the club is close to securing another signing following the recent acquisition of striker Liam Delap from Chelsea. While Glasner declined to comment specifically on Muñoz, he noted that one deal is “pretty close to realization.”

Crystal Palace is currently evaluating the offer, though reports suggest the club may seek a figure closer to £25 million to release the 30-year-old right-back. Everton has also been identified as a potential suitor for the player.
