Oliver Hohnholt runs for Dötlingen mayor; Maximilian Suchanek named Wartenberg fire chief

Oliver Hohnholt, the 48‑year‑old head of the road‑traffic office in the Wildeshauser district, is standing as an independent candidate for mayor of Dötlingen. He is backed by the CDU, Greens and FDP and says he would give up his lifetime civil‑service position to take the municipal office.

In the neighbouring community of Wartenberg, the fire department elected Maximilian Suchanek as its new commander after the resignation of Martin Stöckl. The leadership trio now includes deputies Alexander Allwang and Christian Martjklas. Mayor Christian Pröbst praised the transition and highlighted the opportunity for new ideas and continued development of the fire service.
