German former goalkeeper Oliver Kahn, the 2002 Golden Ball winner, has been added to the expert panel of Indian streaming service Zee5 for its FIFA World Cup 2026 coverage. The panel also includes Indian football figures Bhaichung Bhutia, Gurpreet Singh Sandhu and Igor Stimac. Zee5’s partnership with FIFA runs through 2034, covering the 2026 men’s World Cup, the 2027 women’s tournament and the 2030 edition, and will be streamed in English, Hindi, Bengali and Malayalam.

Kahn was welcomed at Mumbai’s airport amid enthusiastic fans, recalling his 2008 farewell match in Kolkata and a 2023 visit to India. He said he was delighted to help Indian audiences understand the tournament. In Germany, Kahn continues to appear as a football analyst on Sky and other programmes.
