Oliver Solberg wins Rally Chile as Toyota clinches 10th WRC title

Oliver Solberg secured his second victory of the 2026 WRC season by winning Rally Chile Biobío. Driving for Toyota Gazoo Racing, Solberg finished 16.6 seconds ahead of Sébastien Ogier to claim his third career WRC win.

Solberg’s performance helped Toyota Gazoo Racing clinch its tenth manufacturers' championship, equaling the all-time record held by Lancia. This victory also marks Toyota’s sixth consecutive manufacturers' title.

The rally saw significant shifts in the drivers' championship standings. Championship leader Elfyn Evans suffered a puncture in the penultimate stage, losing nearly two minutes and dropping to fifth place. This setback narrowed the gap between Evans and his closest rivals, Sami Pajari and Solberg, with only two rallies remaining in the season.

In the WRC2 category, Diego Domínguez Bejarano finished sixth overall and fourth in the WRC2 Challenger class. The event organizers also noted the high level of safety and spectator discipline maintained throughout the complex competition.
