Oliver Solberg wins Rally Chile; Toyota clinches 10th WRC title

Oliver Solberg won the 2026 Rally Chile Biobío, marking his first victory in the World Rally Championship since Monte Carlo. Driving a Toyota GR Yaris Rally1, the Swede finished 16.6 seconds ahead of teammate Sébastien Ogier. Adrien Fourmaux of Hyundai took third place.

The victory secured the 2026 WRC Manufacturers' Championship for Toyota, marking its tenth title and sixth consecutive win. This achievement equals the historical record held by Lancia.

The driver championship race remains highly competitive. Elfyn Evans maintains the lead with 230 points, followed by Sami Pajari with 213 and Oliver Solberg with 209. Evans' championship bid faced a setback during the rally when a tire change cost him over two minutes, dropping him to fifth place.

Solberg was also penalized a total of €1,500 by the FIA for two separate infractions involving removing his safety gloves before reaching a stop control point.
