Oliver Stark injured in stunt accident on ‘9-1-1’ set

Lead actor Oliver Stark suffered a fractured ankle requiring surgery while filming the upcoming tenth season of the ABC drama ‘9-1-1’. The injury occurred in late August during a stunt sequence involving a firefighter moving from a car onto a ladder truck. A stunt double had previously injured an ankle while practicing the same maneuver but did not seek medical attention or file a formal report.

Stark is one of four performers reported injured during recent production. Other incidents include a stunt performer requiring stitches for an arm injury caused by jagged metal, and another performer being hospitalized for a broken rib and minor compressed lung following an awkward landing on a simulated ground collapse platform.

The series of accidents has raised concerns regarding safety on the stunt-heavy production. This follows the death of crew member Rico Priem in 2024 after working a 14-hour overnight shift.
