Oliver Zeidler targets fourth World Championship title in Amsterdam

Olympic champion Oliver Zeidler is targeting his fourth World Championship title in the single sculls at the upcoming championships in Amsterdam. The 30-year-old German rower enters the competition following a perfect season, having won all three of his international races this year and setting multiple records.

In addition to the title, Zeidler expressed interest in pursuing a world record. He noted that while his form is strong, achieving a world best in rowing depends heavily on perfect outdoor conditions.

Zeidler is implementing a new training approach developed with his father and coach, Heino, which focuses on longer rowing sessions with slightly lower intensity. This strategy follows a second-place finish at last year's World Championships in Shanghai. The competition at the Amsterdam Bosbaan will progress through heats, quarterfinals, and semifinals, leading to the final on Sunday.
