The legendary Oliver's Mount road racing circuit in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, is celebrating its 80th anniversary. The 3.91-kilometer track is noted for its narrow layout, significant elevation changes, and high speeds.

The 2026 edition of the Gold Cup, scheduled from Friday the 4th to Sunday the 6th, marks this milestone. The event features prominent road racing specialists, including Dean Harrison and Peter Hickman. Much attention is also focused on Storm Stacey following recent successes at the North West 200.

Historically, the circuit has hosted numerous racing legends such as Giacomo Agostini, Mike Hailwood, and Joey Dunlop. While the track faced a hiatus in 2018 due to security concerns, racing activities have since fully recovered.
