Oliver’s Mount celebrates 80th anniversary with Gold Cup racing

The Oliver’s Mount road racing circuit in Scarborough is hosting a special three-day Gold Cup meeting to celebrate its 80th anniversary. The event includes practice and qualifying sessions on Friday, September 4, followed by two full days of racing over the weekend.

Prominent riders scheduled to compete include TT front-runners Dean Harrison and Peter Hickman, alongside Mike Browne, Shaun Anderson, Rob Hodson, and Storm Stacey. The program also features parades with racing legends such as John McGuinness, Steve Plater, and Glenn Irwin.

In addition to the racing, the anniversary weekend will host evening debates with motorsport figures like Steve Parrish and Mick Grant. The event also includes live music and a charity auction to benefit Garry Broughton, a rider injured at the Manx Grand Prix.
