Olivia Babcock Becomes First Female Bob Prince Award Winner
University of Pittsburgh outside hitter Olivia Babcock has been named the 2026 recipient of the Bob Prince Award, becoming the first woman to receive the honor that has been presented annually since 1986 (except 2006 and 2021). The award recognizes outstanding athletic achievement, enthusiasm for Pittsburgh sports and dedication to community service.
Babcock was also announced as one of three finalists for the Collegiate Woman Athlete of the Year by the Collegiate Women Sports Awards, chosen from the 12 Honda Sport Award winners. The award will be presented at the 53rd Art Rooney Award Dinner on Sept. 29 at Acrisure Stadium’s UPMC Lounge. Her résumé includes two AVCA National Player of the Year honors, the ACC Female Athlete of the Year award and multiple All‑American selections.
