Olivia Bromley discusses Emmerdale exit after character's death

Actress Olivia Bromley has discussed her departure from the ITV soap opera Emmerdale after eight years playing the character Dawn Fletcher. In a recent episode, Dawn passed away due to complications following a car crash on her wedding day, shortly after giving birth to a son.

Bromley noted that while she was eager to pursue new opportunities, the decision to kill off the character was made by producers. She expressed that filming the exit was more emotional than she had anticipated due to her long history with the role.

Co-star Bradley Riches, who plays Lewis Barton, shared a tribute to Bromley on social media, describing her as a ‘friend for life’ and expressing pride in her achievements.
