Olivia Conesa sets new Argentine U18 100m record

U18 National Championship 100 meters sprint Argentine national record track and field Chubut athletics

Olivia Conesa set a new Argentine U18 national record in the women’s 100-meter sprint during the 59th U18 National Track and Field Championship in Venado Tuerto, Santa Fe. Conesa, representing Club Independiente Deportivo de Esquel, finished the final with a time of 11.65 seconds. This performance improved her previous national record of 11.69 seconds set earlier this year.

The winning time was achieved with a legal tailwind of 1.2 m/s. Conesa’s victory marks the first gold medal for the Chubut Athletics Federation in this edition of the championship. In the final, Julieta Telias of the Metropolitan Athletics Federation (FAM) took second place with 11.93 seconds, while Paz Francucci also from FAM, secured third place with 12.08 seconds.
