Olivia Culpo addresses pregnancy weight gain comments

Olivia Culpo has addressed online criticism regarding her weight gain during her pregnancy with her second child. In a TikTok video shared on September 23, the 34-year-old former Miss Universe expressed pride in her changing body, stating that her physical growth is a sign that her baby is healthy.

Culpo encouraged other expectant mothers to ignore societal pressures to remain thin, describing motherhood as a “beautiful sacrifice” and noting that much of what people compare—such as postpartum weight loss—is influenced by factors like breastfeeding and labor experiences that are not visible to outsiders. She emphasized that the only thing a mother can truly control is what she does for her child, labeling other opinions as “noise.”

Culpo, who is 37 weeks pregnant, noted the support of her husband, San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey, who has encouraged her to give herself a year to recover after the birth. The couple is already parents to a 14-month-old daughter, Colette.
