Olivia Dean to headline first concert at revamped Western Springs Bowl

British singer Olivia Dean will perform at the newly redeveloped Western Springs Bowl in Auckland on October 17, 2026. The concert marks the first musical event at the venue following a NZ$2.5 million transformation.

Organizers from Tātaki Auckland Unlimited moved the show from Spark Arena due to high ticket demand. The redevelopment, funded through existing capital budgets, aims to establish the site as a major outdoor destination for concerts and festivals, with capacities ranging from 5,000 for sporting events to 30,000 for major summer concerts.

The event is projected to generate 17,000 visitor nights and contribute approximately $2.6 million to the regional GDP. Existing ticket holders for the original Spark Arena show do not need to purchase new tickets; they will be reissued to Ticketek NZ accounts by September 30.
