Olivia Harrison's role in George Harrison's life and survival

Olivia Harrison played a critical role in the life and protection of former Beatle George Harrison. On December 30, 1999, an intruder named Michael Abram broke into the couple's estate, Friar Park, in Henley-on-Thames, England. During the confrontation, Abram stabbed Harrison repeatedly, causing serious injuries to his chest and upper body, including a partially collapsed lung.

Olivia intervened during the attack, confronting the assailant with a household object to help stop the assault, though she also sustained injuries in the struggle. Beyond this physical intervention, Olivia provided significant emotional support and stability for Harrison throughout his life and during his battles with serious illness, including his struggle with cancer in the early 2000s.
