Olivia Miles Leads Minnesota Lynx to Record Season as WNBA Rookie All-Star

Olivia Miles, the 23‑year‑old No. 2 overall pick, has quickly become a dominant force for the Minnesota Lynx. By early August she was averaging 19.7 points, 5.8 assists and 4.7 rebounds per game, helping the Lynx post the league’s best 25‑6 record.

Miles earned WNBA Rookie of the Month honors for both May and June, became the first rookie All‑Star starter in Lynx history (joining Maya Moore), and set a fast start to at least 350 points and 100 assists. She also set a rookie record with eight made three‑pointers in a single game.

Speaking about her transition, Miles said the support of Lynx veterans such as Courtney Williams, Natasha Howard and teammate Napheesa Collier, as well as her family, helped her adjust to the professional level and continue improving.
