Olivia Miles named unanimous WNBA Rookie of the Year

Minnesota Lynx guard Olivia Miles has been unanimously named the 2026 WNBA Rookie of the Year, receiving all 74 votes from a national panel of sportswriters and broadcasters. Miles, the No. 2 overall draft pick, set several league records during her debut season, including the all-time rookie scoring record with 790 points. She averaged 19.8 points, 6.0 assists, and 4.7 rebounds per game while shooting 49.2% from the field.

In addition to Miles' individual honors, Lynx head coach Cheryl Reeve was named WNBA Coach of the Year. This marks Reeve's record-breaking fifth time receiving the award. The Lynx finished the regular season with the league's best record of 33-11. The awards were presented during a ceremony at the Target Center, where Miles was also surprised by her parents during a team dinner.
