Olivia Rodrigo backs Planned Parenthood after Trump defunding law

Singer Olivia Rodrigo posted a dance video on the Instagram and X accounts of the all‑women music festival Daisy Chain Fields, using her song “My Way” to highlight that nearly 30 Planned Parenthood health centres have closed since President Donald Trump signed the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which ended federal funding and reduced Medicaid support for the organization. In the video the text reads, “But we’ll never stop fighting for sexual and reproductive health care!!!”

Rodrigo, a longtime supporter of Planned Parenthood, received the organization’s Catalyst of Change Award in 2025. Planned Parenthood Federation of America President and CEO Alexis McGill Johnson thanked her, saying her involvement “means the world to us” and helps educate the public about reproductive freedom. Rodrigo also previously condemned Trump’s use of her song in an ICE propaganda post, calling the action “awful, barbaric and cruel.”
