Olivia Rodrigo confirms Grammy Award submissions
Olivia Rodrigo is positioning herself for significant recognition at the 69th Grammy Awards following the release of her third album, ‘You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love’. The singer has confirmed her category submissions, centering her campaign on the single ‘The Cure’ for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, and Best Music Video.
Additionally, the track ‘What’s Wrong With Me’, which features Robert Smith of The Cure, has been submitted for Best Rock Song and Best Rock Performance. The album itself is entered for Album of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album, Best Recording Package, and Best Cover.
This follows a successful year for the artist, including her ‘Daisy Chain Fields’ event which raised $20 million for nonprofits supporting women and girls. In recent live performances, such as her concert in Charlotte, Rodrigo has maintained a pop-punk aesthetic, performing in custom Vans and retro-inspired stage attire.
