Olivia Rodrigo rumored for Sanremo 2027 festival

Speculation is growing regarding the potential participation of American pop star Olivia Rodrigo in the 2027 Sanremo Music Festival. Reports suggest that Stefano De Martino, who is set to lead the festival in 2027, is interested in securing the artist to attract a younger demographic that primarily engages with the event via social media platforms like TikTok.

Journalist Gabriele Parpiglia noted that Rodrigo represents a key target audience for the festival's digital reach. However, scheduling conflicts pose a significant challenge. The festival is slated for February 16–20, 2027, which coincides with Rodrigo's 'The Unraveled Tour' in the United States. Her scheduled performances at the Barclays Center in New York on February 16, 19, and 20 leave only February 17 and 18 as potential windows for her to travel to Italy and participate.
