Olivia Rodrigo’s Daisy Chain Fields festival raises $20 million for women’s causes

Singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo founded the inaugural Daisy Chain Fields music festival on August 29 in Irvine, California. The single-day event featured an all-female lineup of artists, including Chappell Roan, Mitski, Santigold, and The Breeders, performing for a crowd of approximately 45,000 people.

The festival raised $20 million for 10 non-profit organizations dedicated to women’s health, reproductive rights, gender equality, and social justice. Beneficiaries included Planned Parenthood, Jhpiego, the Johns Hopkins Center for Indigenous Health, the Centre for Reproductive Rights, and the National Domestic Workers Alliance.

Philanthropist Melinda French Gates contributed half of the total donations. All proceeds from merchandise and food sales were also directed toward the selected non-profits.
