Olivia Rodrigo's New Album Breaks Global Streaming Records

Olivia Rodrigo released her third studio album, *You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love*, on 12 June 2026. The record immediately set streaming milestones, becoming the most‑played disc in a single day on Spotify among female artists and achieving the highest global 24‑hour streams on Amazon Music.

Rodrigo said much of the album’s material was written in London and Manchester, citing the rainy atmosphere as creative inspiration. In a recent interview she also disclosed a longstanding partial hearing loss in her left ear, noting that it was detected during early childhood screenings.

The album follows a string of chart successes, including three consecutive singles from three different albums debuting at number 1 on major Billboard charts, reinforcing Rodrigo’s status as a leading pop artist worldwide.
