Olivia Rodrigo's New Album Debuts at No. 1 on Billboard 200 with Record Opening Week
Olivia Rodrigo's third studio album, *You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love*, entered the Billboard 200 at number one, moving 485,000 equivalent album units in its first tracking week. The total includes 273,000 traditional sales, 211,000 streaming units (about 218 million on‑demand audio streams) and 1,000 track‑equivalent units, with vinyl accounting for 164,000 copies sold. The debut marks the largest first‑week tally for any solo artist in 2026 and makes Rodrigo the first act to have her first three albums and first three lead singles each debut at number one on the Billboard 200 and Hot 100 respectively.
The strong performance also placed the album atop five other Billboard charts, including Top Album Sales, Top Streaming Albums, Vinyl Albums, Top Rock & Alternative Albums and Top Alternative Albums. It displaced Drake’s *ICEMAN*, which fell to number two after a four‑week run at the top. Fans celebrated the milestone on social media, praising the release and noting the extensive physical‑format bundles that contributed to the sales numbers.
Rodrigo announced a forthcoming world tour, “The Unraveled Tour,” set to begin in September 2026, and a charitable all‑women festival, “Daisy Chain Fields,” slated for August 2026.
