Olivia Wilde directs ‘The Invite’, a drama exploring marital crisis

Olivia Wilde returns to directing with her third feature film, ‘The Invite’ (Il piacere è tutto nostro), a remake of the Spanish production ‘Sentimental’ by Cesc Gay. The film explores the fraying relationship of a long-married couple, Joe (Seth Rogen) and Angela (Wilde), whose connection has been eroded by professional frustrations and emotional neglect.

To break their stagnant routine, Angela invites their new neighbors, Pina (Penélope Cruz) and Hawk (Edward Norton), to dinner.
