Olivia Wilde wrote, directed and co‑stars in the comedy‑drama "La Invitación," a U.S. adaptation of the Spanish film "Sentimental" by Cesc Gay. The movie, featuring Seth Rogen, Penélope Cruz and Edward Norton, opened in theaters on 6 August 2026.

During the film’s promotion, Penélope Cruz revealed that she has been studying medicine as a personal hobby for more than a decade, saying she reads extensive medical texts nightly. Her comments were made in interviews with Wilde and Rogen while discussing the new release.
